We absolutely love Christmas in our family! We love the lights, decorations, the tree, making cookies, and all of the fun Christmas books. We have a section of my son’s closet set aside for holiday books, and our biggest holiday book section is for Christmas. Since we love reading together, I’m always looking for more books to add to our collection, and Really Wooly Christmas Blessings by Bonnie Rickner Jensen, is a very cute one to add to our Christmas book collection. It’s a devotional with very cute characters in it that help tell the story of Christmas.

My 11 Year old’s Opinion of Really Wooly Christmas Blessings
This is my son’s favorite page from Really Wooly Christmas Blessings because he said, “I like that the three wise men are animals.” When I asked him what he thought about the whole book, he said, “I like that the characters are all animals, and I like that it’s telling the days of Christmas.” I told you we love Christmas in our family!
My Opinion of Really Wooly Christmas Blessings
I thought Really Wooly Christmas Blessings was a very cute book. The animal characters in the book are very friendly-looking and I think they would really appeal to kids.
I like how the book has a title, verse, poem, and prayer every couple of pages. The author hopes these verses will help your child learn to understand the “true reason our hearts are happy, now and forever.”
You can choose to read one title (2 pages) with your child every night as a devotional leading up to Christmas, or just read several pages every night. Since my son is older, we read several pages a night.
The book is fun to read as a parent too because the words just flow along in a natural rhythm and they often rhyme.
This is my favorite page in the book because my kids and I enjoy making Christmas cookies and brownies together every year. We have fun decorating them together to share with our other family members that come over for Christmas dinner.
This book is best for ages 2 – 5, but my son still had fun reading it with me. I think your little ones will really like hearing the stories and seeing all of the cute animals. The rhyming words in the book are also a great way to help your kids learn to read. The author hopes that this book will “become part of your Christmas tradition for years to come.”
By the way, while looking up this book on Amazon, I learned there are lots of other Really Wooly products too. There’s a plush sheep, a Happy Birthday Jesus kit, and a Bedtime Prayers book. You can check them out by clicking here.
