You know that I’m always looking for new ways to save money. So, I was so happy when I found out about cloth basket liners. You might think that they’re only good for fancy occasions, but they’re good for everyday use too! They save us money on the amount of paper towels and napkins we have to buy.

What Kind of Basket Liners Are in Her Shop?
In Dona’s DesignsByDona shop, she has lots of different basket liners available.
There are holiday basket liners, like this Halloween basket liner. Dona also has plenty of other holiday ones for all of the holidays. She has ones for St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I have 2 basket liners for each holiday from her shop!
Here’s what it says about the basket liners in Dona’s shop:
“This basket liner is made of 100% quality cotton fabric, are 19.5” X 19.5”, and in the shape of a 4-leaf clover with the same pattern on each side. The liner will fit many sizes & shapes of serving baskets or bowls you would use on your table, even many of the very expensive designer ones. All you have to do is center it over the basket, press down in the center and its ready to use. All fabric is prewashed and over dried before cutting and sewing in order to minimize shrinkage.
The most common use of the basket liner is to hold rolls and bread to keep them warm.

But you can also:
1. Use to serve snacks
2. Line a fruit Basket or bowl
3. Microwave Potatoes, partial head of broccoli, cauliflower or corn on the cob in it.
There are basket liners for the guys too! I saw this fish basket liner and knew my husband would love it! These kinds of basket liners are great for people who love the outdoors.
She has patterned basket liners like this red and white gingham one. There are also some with different sizes of polka dots.
There are basket liners for dog lovers, like this Scottie dog.
Dona has basket liners for food lovers too! She has a couple of pretzel ones, like this one. There’s also some with bread, coffee, ice cream, grapes, bacon, potato chips, hamburgers, and cookies! Also a chef and barbecue one for those that like to cook.
There’s lots of different types of flowers basket liners! There are big flowers and little flowers. Also, basket liners with many different types and colors of flowers. All of them are so beautiful. I actually have the basket liner above!
If you are someone who doesn’t like patterns or designs, Dona even has basket liners for you! Here’s a plain red one that looks like a more traditional basket liner.
What Kind of Placemats Are in Her Shop?
Dona currently has 14 different placemats in her shop. All of her placemats are reversible. Here’s what it says about them in her shop:
“My placemats are quilted envelope style and made with 100% cotton fabric, Pellon Thermolam Plus as batting and topstitching around the edges for a crisp finished look using monofilament thread, and measure 12.5” X 17.5”. All fabrics are prewashed and over dried before cutting and sewing in order to help set the colors and minimize shrinkage. I use this polyester as batting because it doesn’t bunch up when washed, is durable & it dries fast & lies flat.”
There are these cute pumpkin and cornucopia placemats. There are several other holiday ones also, just like with the basket liners.
Here’s a cute placemat! “One side is of roosters with French wording on a yellow background. The reverse side is of chicken wire in white on a black background.” I have a friend who would love these because she loves Paris and speaking French!
There’s plenty more placemats, but I don’t want to show you everything in her shop! You should go check it out for yourself.

Also, it has a lot of purple on it, which is my favorite color as you can tell by my blog design. Here’s what it says about it in her shop: “This quilted reversible candle mat, table topper is made of cotton fabric (handmade by me) and measures 17.5” side to side & 20.5 from point to point. There are so many choices, it’s amazing! Any design basket liners, placemats, candle mats, quilts, fabric you want, you will definitely find. There’s plenty of different options everyone in your family will enjoy.
They wash beautifully! Due to the fabrics that Dona has, they hold up wash after wash. I can certainly testify to that because I’ve had my basket liners from her shop for over 6 years, and they still look great!
You can request your own custom order. Dona says you can convo her with any special order. Under her listings, she has links to all of her other fabrics available. You can look through those and let her know what you’re looking for. Also, you can just tell her what kind of design you’re interested in and she’ll send you pictures of the fabric that she has that matches. I’ve done this before and been very happy with the final product!
It’s good for the environment. Since these basket liners and home decor items are reusable, you won’t have to throw anything away! You’ll be cutting down on what you send to the landfill every week.
I love mine!
I love to decorate for every holiday, so I change out my decorations every month. So, this is the current basket liner I have for July, since we celebrate the 4th of July. It adds a nice bright, cheery atmosphere to the kitchen.
It saves you money! Every time we use the basket liners, it’s saving us from using a paper version. That means we don’t have to buy paper towels and napkins as often. I used to change the paper towel/napkin in my baskets every few days. So, it used to be just about every month or so I would have to buy them from Costco. Now, I only have to buy them maybe every three to four months. That’s a huge savings!
You can even send the basket liners and home decor items as a gift. I know this is a gift I’d definitely like to receive! These would be a great bridal shower, wedding, house warming, first time living on your own, any holiday or birthday gift. I think they would also make nice teacher gifts. I know that teachers are tired of the usual gifts they get, so they would love to get this as a gift!

That’s neat you like the pretzel one, Sonya. Two of my kids really like pretzels, so that’s why I picked that one to show on my blog.
