I love shopping for my youngest son! It seems like every year they come out with the neatest toy that I know he’s going to love. I know sometimes it’s hard coming up with gift ideas for your relatives, especially if they don’t live nearby. So, I’ve made a list of the best holiday gift ideas for tween boys, so you can have an idea of what to buy for the tween boy in your life. Since I have an 11 year old, and he just had a birthday last month, I have several ideas to share with you. Here’s the best holiday gift ideas for tween boys that I came up with.

If your son loves Ninja Turtles as much as my son does, he’s going to love this calendar. My son wants one every year! We give all of our kids calendars every Christmas so that over vacation, we can sit down one day and go over everyone’s school schedules together, birthdays, appointments, etc. and put them on the calendar. It’s a fun bonding time. If you’ve never bought a calendar for your kids, you should add this to your yearly tradition.
Donatello is my son’s favorite Ninja Turtle character. He enjoys playing with action figures and his friends usually get him one for his birthday. He has a few other characters too, so if your son’s favorite isn’t Donatello, you can still click on the link and it suggests all of the different Ninja Turtle characters below the description, so you can choose the one(s) your son likes. These action figures are fun to just play with on their own or with all of the other Ninja Turtle things my son has, like a shell raiser (truck) and a sewer lair.
Both of my sons have always loved Legos! In fact, for my tween son’s birthday party that we just had a couple of weeks ago, we bought a Lego figure for each boy to make as their craft for the party. They all had so much fun building them and playing with them. So, I know that any boy will love this gift! My parents bought this set for my son a few years ago and he really enjoyed putting it together and playing with it. The airplane is even still on his table in his bedroom so he can easily access it to play with when he wants.
Lots of boys are into Minecraft right now. My own son loves playing Minecraft on the computer or Xbox, and also playing with Minecraft figures and sets. This Survival Mode Playset is one of the gifts he asked for, for Christmas last year. He had fun putting it together and he still has fun playing with it. Those boys that I mentioned that went to my son’s recent birthday party, were so excited when they saw this set in his room. They all wished they had a cool set like this one.
A couple of my son’s friends gave him money for his birthday, so when we went to the store, the first thing he headed to was the Minecraft Lego Sets. He saw this one and immediately knew it was the one he wanted. After lunch that same day, he had computer time, but decided instead that he wanted to build this set. You know something is really exciting when he’s willing to give up computer time for it! He built it in a couple of hours and spent quite a bit of time playing with it. He was excited to show it off to his older brother when he got home, because he was proud of what he had built and they also both like to play Minecraft.
My son and every other boy I’ve taught for this past year, love Roblox! It’s a game they can play on the computer, and the best part of it is, they can join games and play with their friends. You can have them sign up for a kid-friendly chat, so that you know they will be kept safe on the internet, and make sure they only “friend” people that they actually know in real life. My son and his friends even make arrangements after school for what time they’re all going to be on Roblox together and what game they’re going to play.
So, of course they made action figures that go along with the Roblox game. Each one of the figures comes with a Roblox code for some item that they can get in the game. These mystery boxes are my son’s favorite things to get because they don’t cost too much and he loves opening it up to see what character he got! As soon as he finds the code, he goes on the computer to see what new item he got, and then of course hops on the chat and tells all of his friends. So, this is a great gift for any tween boy.
So, of course, if you’re going to get Roblox Collectibles, you’re going to need somewhere to put them, and this Collector’s Tool Box is just the thing. My son’s friend gave this to him at his recent birthday party, and he was very excited. Inside the tool box are 2 figures, which of course come with 2 codes that I told you about above. This also comes with a leaflet, showing your son all of the cool figures he can collect in this tool box. It’s a really great way for your son to keep his collectibles contained, so that you don’t end up finding figures all over your house (especially at night in the dark when you’re walking around the house checking on everyone!).
All 3 of my kids have wanted watches as soon as they learned to tell time. They like the freedom of knowing what time it is, without having to ask someone else or looking all around the classroom to find the clock (which can get them in trouble if a they’re taking a test).
My boys both like digital sport watches, even though they don’t play sports. They like the easy to read display, that it’s waterproof (in case they get it wet while washing their hands), and that it lights up so you can read it in the dark.
My tween son likes the stopwatch feature because he likes timing his friends on various things that they do on the playground. He also likes the alarm because he sets it every morning for when it’s time to get up for school. Even though I go in his room and wake him up, he still likes to have the alarm set, so he can wake up himself, just in case. So, if you have a tween son who participates in sports, or even one who doesn’t, this watch is just right for him.
Boys love remote control cars no matter what age they are! My parents have given my son lots of different remote control cars over the years and he always has fun playing with them. He and my husband usually take the car outside and play with it together; it’s a great bonding experience for them.
This remote control car is a dune buggy and it even goes off road, and really kicks up the dirt! Sounds like a perfect boy toy to me, boys and dirt go together! If you’re anything like me, I’m always looking for ways to get my son to play outside, and a remote control car is a perfect toy for that. A side benefit is it also comes with rechargeable batteries so you won’t have to run to the store so your son can keep playing.
I had to mention one last Ninja Turtle product, since they are my son’s favorite thing! One of his friends got him this toy for his birthday, and even I was fascinated by it! It’s amazing how many little things they fit into this one turtle!
It’s a city rooftop with tons of things in it. There’s a wrecking ball with a jail that comes down to capture the bad guys, battle platforms, a fire escape, water tower lookout point, a blaster cannon, and 2 figures. My son has had so much fun playing with this! It’s another one of his toys that he gave up some of his computer time to play with.
If your tween son likes another Ninja Turtle character, you can still click on the link above or the image below, and under the option to choose a color, you can choose a different Ninja Turtle character.
Since I have a tween boy, I know that these are things a tween boy would love to have for Christmas, birthday, or any holiday. I’ve seen my son playing with/using all of these things, so you can feel confident about choosing any one of these as a gift for any tween boy in your life.
Is there any gift on here you think a tween boy in your life would love to get? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear about it.
I would love it if you would share these holiday gift ideas for tween boys so that other people will know what to buy for the tween boy in their life.
