On Sunday, we served in the Children’s Ministry at church and then I interpreted the sermon. At home, I did laundry all day, made muffins, cooked dinner and did dishes. I looked through my email and FB groups. For Mother’s Day, my youngest son made me a paper flower pot with paper flowers in it and wrote a note. My daughter made me a card and bought me a couple of candy bars from the store on her college campus. She bought two so my youngest son would have something to give me.
On Monday, I subbed in a 4th grade class at my son’s school. I knew most of the kids, so it was a pretty good day. They were a little talkative after lunch and the library, but then quieted down after recess. After school, I did some things around the house, made dinner and did dishes. I went through my email and a few FB groups. I helped my daughter edit her essay.
On Tuesday, I subbed in the same 1st grade class I subbed in last Thursday. Since I’m familiar with the kids and the routine it was a pretty good day. After school, I walked to my dentist appointment and back. I didn’t have any cavities or anything else wrong, so that’s always good. After dinner and dishes, I did things around the house and went through my email.
On Wednesday, I subbed in a different 1st grade class, but at the same school. We watched the string orchestra concert put on by the 4th and 5th graders, so that was enjoyable. After school, I went through the grocery store circulars and my Vons Monopoly tickets. Later in the afternoon, I went on my walk. After dinner and dishes, I wrote a blog post, How to Save Money When Buying Dairy Products. I went through some of my email, but not all.
On Thursday, I subbed in the same 1st grade class as yesterday. They were a little chattier today, but not too bad. After school, I went on a walk, made the grocery list, dinner and dishes. Then, I went through my email, and the day was over!
On Friday, I didn’t have a sub job. I could’ve had one, but I’m so exhausted from working 4 days in a row and getting up so early to take my daughter to the train, that my husband said I could take the day off. So, after dropping my son off at school, I went for a walk. After that, I made dessert for the week. I wrote my blog post, Out of the Dark CD from Mandisa Review & Giveaway, looked through email and FB groups, and pinned on some Pinterest boards. I also cooked dinner and did dishes. I still have so much more to do, but it was nice to have the day to get some things done.
On Saturday, I went grocery shopping and cleaned. Then, I made pancakes for the week. I completed a blog post, My Swagbucks Story, went through my email, practiced the songs/video for signing tomorrow, and went through my FB groups. The NASCAR All-Star race was on also, so my oldest son and I watched that.
How was your week?
By the way, I’m thinking about ending these “My Week” posts because I do basically the same thing every week and I don’t think there’s really any purpose in these anymore. What do you think? Would you miss these posts or it wouldn’t matter to you?
